Meet Cooper Dean Lanford!! One of my dearest friends, Debbie, gave birth to her second son yesterday! He is so sweet and precious!! I had to capture some of his cuteness to share! Eric and Debbie, we love you guys and your kids!! We are so excited to be ‘Aunt Angey’ and ‘Uncle Wesley’ to another sweet Lanford boy!!
Going through some pics yesterday, I ran across this one of my sweet friend’s son… well, his feet :). It just made me smile, so I thought it would be fun to share!
I haven’t been to the fair in years!! So, not only did I get to go this year, but I got to go with one of my best friends, Heather, and serve as a chaplain. Our job was to walk around and see if there was anything we could do to serve the fair workers. Heather and I had such a good time together. It was such a joy to serve together because it reminded us of our time in Scotland where we served together many years ago. God brought Heather into my life as my roommate in 2000, and we were roommates until I got married. I learned so much from her, and am so thankful that God brought us together. We served overseas for 6 months in Scotland, traveled Europe together, went to seminary together… oh, the memories, laughs, and stories! Now we don’t get to see each other as often as we like, so when our busy lives can collide, it’s such a joy! Thanks for an awesome day at the fair, Heather!
Every time I drive through downtown Raleigh, I admire this building and want to take a picture of it. Today I had my camera with me, and couldn’t pass it up! The coolest part is that the leaves move- not sure how it does that, but if you’ve seen it you know how cool it is. It’s worth the drive by just to see it move! I wish I could have captured the movement, but I didn’t have much time to think about my settings since I took it out the window as I was at a red light! They call Raleigh the “City of Oaks,” so how cool that they could build this to represent the city.
Since we bought our house in the winter, every season brings with it new surprises. In the spring it was my cherry blossom tree in my front yard. This summer it is these beautiful flowers in front of my house. They sprung up a couple weeks ago when we had some rainy weather. I’m reminded of what an awesome creator God I serve. He makes such beautiful things!
