Poor, sweet, little Noah, fell and broke his wrist this week. Debbie asked me to go with her to the doctor while he got his hard cast put on. I was a little hesitant to take pictures, but when I mentioned it, she said she really wanted me to. So, we documented the whole thing 🙂
Though his arm is now so heavy that he can’t lift it, he doesn’t let it get him down. He’s so sweet and happy.
…and maybe a little tired.
I’ve been thinking about my wonderful mom, today, and how blessed I am to have her. I’ve always had a great relationship with my mom, and am so thankful for her. She has always loved me, supported me, and been there for me. She has been both mom and friend. Mom, thank you for your unconditional love, support, and friendship. I thank God for you!
We had a wonderful Easter yesterday. In the morning, we celebrated the resurrection of Christ with our church. That’s my cutie on the far right playing electric guitar 🙂
One of my very dear friend’s husband was baptized. This was such a joyous occasion for us, as we have been able be apart of their lives and see him come to faith in Christ. Now through baptism, he shows the world that he is identifying with Christ’s death and resurrection, and now lives in newness of life. It has been so exciting to see God do wonderful things in their family. And I’m just as excited about what He is going to do in the future! Thanks to Wes for getting these great shots. Since he was already on the stage, he had the perfect view.
After church we spent the day with some of our dearest friends- The Swishers…
…and the Lanfords.
We had so much fun hanging out and relaxing during the afternoon. Then after nap time we had an easter egg hunt with the boys and lots of fun in the sun. Their boys, Reid and Noah, are such sweet cutie pies! They’re both so fun and full of life… and they both have killer blue eyes! My camera likes them 🙂
It was a wonderful day, and a wonderful Easter.
We were visiting my parents in Mississippi a couple weeks ago for one last time before they moved to Texas. While we were there, my dad was trying to figure out how to get all of his cars moved to Texas. One of his newest additions was my Granny’s Buick Skylark, which she won many years ago playing Bingo. When she passed away last year, my dad brought it home. It was special because it was hers, but it also was in great shape and had very low mileage. So, while we were there, Wesley let dad know that he would happily take the Buick off his hands. We all thought he was kidding at first since it’s not the most beautiful car you’ve ever seen. But he was quite serious, and said he’d proudly drive it. So, my dad decided to give it to us! He was happy that it could stay in the family, and we were happy to be given a car. Of course, I made sure that this was Wesley’s car! So, we skipped out on our plane, and drove the Skylark all the way home from Mississippi (12 hours). At first I thought I might be a little embarrassed, but once I got comfy I didn’t care! The car rode great, and actually was a more comfortable and smooth ride for the road trip than our other car! Every time we’d discover something about the car (how roomy it is, how comfy it is, etc), we were more and more convinced that we had a luxury vehicle on our hands!
Thanks, mom and dad! It really is a huge blessing for us to have the car!
Sometimes we call him “Grillz”… yes, this car is a he.
Wesley loves Grillz.
It’s the Senior picture he never had!
2 words- “luxury vehicle”!
Today is my wonderful husbands birthday! I am so greatful to have such an amazing husband. He is truly my best friend and life companion. He loves the Lord, and he loves me. I am so blessed to have him and to celebrate another year of his life.
In my previous post, my cherry blossom tree was covered in snow. Here’s how beautiful it is not covered in snow. I can’t believe I have all of these beautiful blossoms and it’s not even spring yet! Since we just bought our house, it has been such a joy to see the trees begin to bloom for the first time. I had no idea this was in our front yard! We have a couple dogwoods in our backyard, and I’m so excited to see them blossom soon too!
The bee likes my cherry blossoms too 🙂
The view out my window today is just fabulous!! I love how beautiful everything looks when it’s covered in snow, tree branches especially! I have watched the snow flurries fall today, and I just had to capture a few of the amazing views I’ve had today! I just love having so many trees!
This is our cherry blossom tree, which began blooming last month. And it was such a wonderful surprise because we bought the house in the winter and had no idea what types of beautiful blooms we would start to see, especially this early in the year!
Not sure what type of three this is, but it is also starting to blossom :0). This is the view I’ve enjoyed out of my office window today.
I think these little robins like the snow. I watched 4 of them playing in the backyard, then later they were in the front and I was able to capture the last two images through my office window before he flew away :0)
