And speaking of families… if you don’t know about the new addition to my bff’s fam, check out Casey’s blog for some uber sweet pics of TWO precious babies!!! And another one of my closest friends, Sharra, is moments or days away from delivering her sweet baby boy, so there will be pics of that to come as well!! Life is such a beautiful blessing!

I had such a blast doing Julia’s senior pics! Julia is like a sister to me, and her family is like family to us. Wesley and I have been so blessed to be a part of their lives! They were a huge part of our wedding, and for the past 5 years, they have been there for us and loved on us in countless ways!! Craig, Amanda, and Julia, we love you so very much and thank God for you!

fair + friendship = fun

I haven’t been to the fair in years!! So, not only did I get to go this year, but I got to go with one of my best friends, Heather, and serve as a chaplain. Our job was to walk around and see if there was anything we could do to serve the fair workers. Heather and I had such a good time together. It was such a joy to serve together because it reminded us of our time in Scotland where we served together many years ago. God brought Heather into my life as my roommate in 2000, and we were roommates until I got married. I learned so much from her, and am so thankful that God brought us together. We served overseas for 6 months in Scotland, traveled Europe together, went to seminary together… oh, the memories, laughs, and stories! Now we don’t get to see each other as often as we like, so when our busy lives can collide, it’s such a joy! Thanks for an awesome day at the fair, Heather!

I just love this family! And I love taking their pictures! This was our third year to do fall family photos…and Camden’s first . It has been so wonderful to watch their family grow and get to know their precious children. Thank you guys for your friendship! I had the awesome privilege of covering the US Food Service Food Show in Raleigh last month. This event was so much fun! There were so many types of food and food related products. And every hour they had food demonstrations by talented chefs. The theme for the event was “Rockin’ Food Revolution”… and it was definitely rockin’!

I have to give shout out to kenosis designs for the awesome marketting!

Life at a standstill

…or should I say ‘blogging at a standstill’? This past week as been has been one of those weeks where life just gets put in perspective things seem to stand still. Last weekend one of my dear friends lost her baby boy. She was 8 months pregnant, and it was a shock to us all. But through this extremely difficult time we have seen the comfort, grace, and strength that God gives to His children when the most difficult things of life happen. Through the pain, God is here. And we know that my friend’s sweet baby boy is with our God. He will never know the pain and sorrow of this life; He’ll only know the joys of heaven! He is already beholding the face of Christ!… and we look forward to the day that we will join him and the other precious ones that have gone before us!

noah is 2!

We celebrated Noah’s 2nd birthday this past weekend!! I just love him and his family! I praise God for friends who are like family!

You may remember his green face from last year! He wasn’t quite as messy this year! Boy, has he grown!

Another one of my dear friends, Kellie, is expecting!! It was such a joy to get to capture their adorable family!! They are so fun! This family is very special to me. They have another precious daughter, Katelyn, who is in heaven with Jesus, and she will always be remembered! Thank you guys for your friendship, your love for God, and the joy and hope you have in this life and the one to come. Love you guys!
