It doesn’t get sweeter than this!! Casey came over last week with Zoe, and it was soooooooo great to get some time w/ them! Casey and I were sitting in my office chatting and doing some photography stuff on the computer… I was holding Zoe, and she fell asleep sitting there in my arms! How precious is she!?!? Had to share this sweetness! Gotta love the stuffed chick whose head is almost as big as Zoe’s!



fair + friendship = fun

I haven’t been to the fair in years!! So, not only did I get to go this year, but I got to go with one of my best friends, Heather, and serve as a chaplain. Our job was to walk around and see if there was anything we could do to serve the fair workers. Heather and I had such a good time together. It was such a joy to serve together because it reminded us of our time in Scotland where we served together many years ago. God brought Heather into my life as my roommate in 2000, and we were roommates until I got married. I learned so much from her, and am so thankful that God brought us together. We served overseas for 6 months in Scotland, traveled Europe together, went to seminary together… oh, the memories, laughs, and stories! Now we don’t get to see each other as often as we like, so when our busy lives can collide, it’s such a joy!  Thanks for an awesome day at the fair, Heather!

great gain

Last night I visited asher’s graveside with his aunt and uncle, Bradley and Brittany. It was such a sweet and special time. We were able to remember his life, and celebrate his birthday as his “one year anniversary in heaven” (as Brittany called it). Another dear friend, Kristin, called this day his “great gain day”! What a true and joyful perspective! Though we miss him so much, we know that the day asher went to be with Jesus was the day he gained life to the fullest and pleasures forevermore.

Ps. 16.11- “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”– Praise God!!
